The Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was forced to return back to the airport after a technical glitch was reported. The PM along with his entire delegation is expected to spend one more day in the Indian capital, Delhi.
Alternative Arrangements To Be Made
The Canadian Prime Minister was scheduled to return back home on Sunday but the Canadian air force confronted a technical error. The Canadian High Commission in India said it is not the first time the plane faced issues.
Meanwhile the Canadian authorities are exploring alternative means of fly-transport. “Our delegation will be staying in India until alternate arrangements are made,” the Canadian PM office said.
Why Trudeau Visited India?
Mr Trudeau was on a one day visit to India to attend the G20 summit. The summit was attended by other world leaders including US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
The Russian President, Vladimir Putin and the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, didn’t attend the summit for some reasons.
