Two US marines lost their lives when a helicopter crashed while taking part in military exercises. The two rotor blades helicopter MV-22B Osprey crashed in Melville Island, the second biggest crash in less than a month. The authorities are examining the situation of the injured soldiers, 5 of whose health is in critical condition.
Only US Soldiers on Board
As per the emerging reports, the helicopter had only US soldiers on board, which means those injured are all US soldiers. The US, Australia, Philippines, East Timor and Indonesia have been conducting joint military exercises dubbed as Predators Run. The crash took place in Darwin, the capital city of the Northern Territory, Australia.
Previous Helicopter Crash
Four Australian soldiers were reported dead when 45 MRH-90 Taipan helicopters crashed near the Queensland coast. The Australian military suspended all helicopter missions after the incident, and they made sure all helicopters were safe to fly.
