A schoolteacher from Oklahoma was arrested when she brought red wine to her classroom. The school administration complained to the school resource officer that Kimberly Coates, 53, was attending her class while drunk.
Coates Blamed Anxiety Medication
The third grade school teacher was asked whether she was drunk or something, to which she blamed her anxiety medications. She denied that she had been drinking but accepted that she drank half a box of wine the previous night till 3 am. She contradicted her own statement when she said that she drank when she was coming to alcohol on the way to work.
Coates Begged Not To Be Arrested
Coates began to cry and begged for mercy when the officers told her that she’ll be arrested. She was immediately removed from her job at the school and booked at the Payne County Detention Center for attending school drunk.
