A report by Terry Group has forecasted the dramatic decline in China’s population in the near future. China’s shrinking population will have negative consequences for the country’s economy, the report said.
China’s Aging Population
The research study revealed that China is rapidly losing its younger population and hence will lose its workforce dramatically. The research firm focused on its aging population and wrote that China will struggle to keep up the economic competition as the country has more elderly people as compared to kids.
50% Population To Decline
According to UN projections, China will lose nearly half of its population by 2050. “China’s population is not only aging, but is also entering a gathering decline”, the Terry Group report mentioned.
