A Romanian court has finally ordered the release of controversial social media personality Andrew Tate from house arrest. The 36-year-old social media figure was taken into custody, along with his brother, in December 2022 by the Romanian law enforcement for allegations related to sexual assault, human trafficking, and forming a gang to exploit women.
Release Extended To 60 Days
According to the decision from the Bucharest Court of Appeals, the house arrest has been replaced to a judicial supervision of 60 days starting from August 4 until October 2. Additionally, they have been prohibited from communicating with their co-accused Romanian associates, the witnesses involved, or the purported victims and their families.
Andrew Tate is Still in Romania
After the court’s order, Andrew Tate and his brother are still expected to remain in Romania. Andrew Tate revealed his intention to stay within Romania as he told his fanbase that he was headed towards a mosque. “After an incitement based on nothing. The file was passed to a Judge who has ruled it weak and circumstantial,” he said.
