The Pentagon has revealed that an Air Force engineer had taken critical radio communications equipment to his home. The engineer working at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee, compromised information about defense facilities including information regarding the FBI. The equipment was estimated to be around $90,000 which was later recovered by the FBI.
All The Information Was Classified
The law enforcement agencies upon arrival at the suspect’s home saw a computer running Motorola Radio Programming Software, Forbes reported. The suspect had “unauthorized administrator access” to radio communications of 17 Air Force facilities. According to the search warrant, the 48-year-old had flash drives containing passwords to Air Force’s Air Education and Training Command (AETC) and FBI communications.
$90,000 Worth Of Equipment
The suspect, who is yet to be charged, went home with radio equipment worth $90,000, according to the search warrant. The Pentagon did not provide any further details about the nature of information the Air Force engineer had access to.
