Man Charged For Stealing Police Cruiser in Kentucky

A suspect was arrested after he allegedly stole a police vehicle and crashed in Lexington, causing two injuries. Two police officers were injured when the suspect assaulted them after which he stole the police cruiser and ran away. The 26-year-old suspect was also taken to the hospital along with the two police officers and one person he hit.

Suspect Facing Ten Charges

The suspect identified as Trenton Nathaniel Adkins has been booked in the Fayette County Detention Center. He is currently facing 10 charges including robbery, fleeing or evading police, bodily harm, and resisting arrest, according to Lexington police officials.

The area was immediately cleared and considered safe for the general public minutes after the incident. Just after the suspect crashed the vehicle at the intersection of High and Broadway, the police responded and shifted the injured to the hospital.
