Microsoft & White House said on Wednesday that Chinese hackers breached email accounts of 25 organizations, including US government agencies. White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said the government has detected an attack but managed To prevent further loss .
Investigation Initiated
Both the White House and Microsoft didn’t disclose the names of the organizations targeted by Chinese hackers. According to CNN, the breach was first reported in the State Department which was forwarded to Microsoft. The National Security Council spokesperson couldn’t specify who was behind the attack but Microsoft wrote in a blog that hackers were based in China.
China, The Most Advanced Cyber Enemy
The US intelligence officials have continuously said that China has the most lethal cyber arena. In May, the US State Department issued a multi-nation alert that China-based hackers could attack critical infrastructure in the US and Europe.
