A massive metal girder has collapsed onto a crowded street in Bangkok, resulting in the death of at least two people and causing severe injuries to multiple others. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the location to locate any survivors trapped within the crushed vehicles and damaged structures.
Crane Mishap Responsible
In the initial investigation report, it was discovered that a crane involved in the construction of elevated highways, aimed at alleviating the city’s heavily congested traffic, tipped over while lifting a four-lane concrete road segment. As a result, the section rapidly descended to the ground.
Multiple Missing
Although reports of initial deaths and injuries were confirmed, the authorities couldn’t confirm those missing. “We do not have any info about missing people yet,” Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt told reporters.
