Man Dies After Falling Overboard From UK Stena Line Ferry 

A passenger died after falling overboard from a Stena Line ferry at the port of Loch Ryan, Scotland. Search and rescue teams were able to rescue the person and shifted him to the Ayr Hospital via a helicopter, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Rescue Teams Managed To Rescue

A major search and rescue operation went underway immediately as the news of a person falling from the ship reached the authorities. The UK’s national maritime emergency service, HM coastguard, were requested to assist in the operation and the person was successfully rescued from the waters. The victim unfortunately died when he was flown via HM Coastguard helicopter to nearby University Hospital.

Investigation is Underway

The authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident and the due process is underway. “Inquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident remain ongoing”, Police Scotland spokesperson said.
