The notorious Wagner group has turned against the Russian military and started marching towards the capital. The Wagner mercenary group has been fighting in Ukraine since Russia invaded it and has helped Russia capture key cities. In the latest address to the nation, Putin accused the group of treason and said everything will be done to protect the state.

The head of the Wagner group Yevgeny Prigozhin rejected the belief that Wagner is aiming to seize power from the government. He has been criticizing the military’s top leadership for months for delaying the delivery of ammunition and now, and it seems, his patience has run out and now wants to take control of the military.
Wagner on path of treason
As soon as the events started to unfold, the Russian President Vladamir Putin took to the state TV to address his nation about the mutiny. The Wagner head said he have no plans to overthrow the government but Putin has accused the group of treason and warned of harsh punishment.
