China Building Spy Base In Cuba, 100 Miles From Florida

China and Cuba have reached a secret deal to establish a Chinese spy base in Cuba, around 100 miles from Florida. The secret facility will act as an electronic eavesdropping facility where the Chinese will be able to collect data from across the US, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

The Communist Threat

The deal has once again reminded the American administration about the Cuban missile crisis. The secret deal is likely to become a concern for the Biden administration, who is investing heavily to counter Chinese influence. The threat posed by the rivals, both communist, can prove to be a great challenge for the administration who is already busy in far away continents.

China Declined To Comment

A spokesperson for the White House National Security Council John Kirby said that the US is aware of the developments taking place around the world where China is secretly deploying its military infrastructure. The Chinese embassy in Washington did not offer any explanation to the secret deal between Cuba and China.
