A man with a baseball bat walked in and attacked the office staff of Gerry Connolly of Virginia, a democratic representative of Virginia. The suspect who attacked the office was identified as 49-year-old Xuan Kha Tran Pham and was later arrested by the Police.
Connolly Wasn’t Around
The suspect attacked Mr Connolly’s office staffers before 11 a.m. today (Monday), the police said. The congressman was at a nearby food bank for a ribbon-cutting event when the suspect approached his office injuring two individuals. The Fairfax City Police Department reached Mr Connolly’s office within five minutes and arrested the suspect on the spot.
One Intern & Senior Fellow Injured
The congressman told the news reporters that the suspect injured one of the interns working at his office when she told him that Mr Connolly wasn’t there. A senior fellow at his office was also injured when he approached the reception desk after hearing the uproar.
