King Charles, along with his second wife Queen Camilla, has been crowned as “Britain’s undoubted king” in a historic the kingdom’s biggest ceremonial event. King’s second wife was also crowned with the Queen Mary’s Crown in front of hundred world leaders.
1st Ceremony After 70 Years
The two-hour ceremony was the first one in the last seven decades. The ceremony was televised across the world and is believed to have been watched by millions across the world. Members of the royal family, celebrities, 4,000 troops and British and Commonwealth troops, and 100 world leaders including US First Lady Jill Biden, attended the coronation.
29,000 Police Officers Deployed
For the ceremony, one thousand officers were selected from various regions such as the UK, overseas territories, and crown dependencies. In preparation for the coronation, there were over 29,000 police officer deployments, and on the actual day of the ceremony, there were more than 11,500 officers present.
