Russia Mercenary Threatens To Leave War Amid Ammo Shortage

The head of the Russian mercenary group has threatened to pull out its forces from key Ukrainian regions if not given ammunition. Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin said that the casualties are mounting, and they don’t have enough ammunition to fight the Ukrainian forces.

Retreat Or Death

Prigozhin expressed his concerns while talking in an interview with a Russian military blogger Semyon Pegov. He said he has written a letter to the Russian defense minister where he demanded more ammunition otherwise they’ll either withdraw from Bakhmut or die. He further said that his casualties could have been five times less if his comrades were given ammunition on time.

Russians Are Unprepared

The Russian Forces are unprepared to counter the Ukrainian offensive that they’re expected to launch in May, according to Prigozhin. According to the Institute for the Study of War, the notorious Wagner’s retreat indicates the vulnerability of the key city for the Russian forces.
