FBI Arrests Two For Running Secret Police Station For China

The FBI has arrested two Chinese individuals for running a secret police station in New York. The two Chinese citizens were picked up by the FBI after a prolonged investigation that revealed that the suspects were involved in Espionage against Chinese citizens critical of the government.

First Overseas Police Station 

The two suspects, Lu Jianwang and Chen Jinping, worked to establish the first ever Chinese police station in a foreign country, and that too in the US. The suspects were working on the directions provided by the Chinese ministry of Public Security, the US department of justice revealed yesterday. Both the suspects, if found guilty, might face up to 25 years in prison.

100 Stations In 53 Countries

The police stations were used to spy on the Chinese citizens who were pro-democracy and were wanted by the Chinese government. According to a Spanish civil rights group, Safeguard Defenders, China has been running at least 100 police stations around the world, with a dozen in Western Europe and some in Northern America.
