McDonald’s To Increase Prices On Popular Items

For the second time in just six weeks, Mcdonald’s has announced to increase prices for a number of items on its menu. The fast-food chain announced the decision amid serious inflation and labor costs. The last price hike was seen on 15 February when it raised prices of five single menu items, although Mcdonal’s is not alone doing all this.

Meals Are Still Inexpensive

In January, McDonald’s revealed that traffic had increased by 5% for the full-year 2022, its meals continued to attract low-income consumers as they were still more affordable than those of many competitors. The spokesperson said that although minor changes were made to the certain food items, the price of black & white coffee still remains below that of early 2020.

Rising Food And Energy Costs

While announcing the new price list, the spokesperson also assured that they are still committed to offer tasty and affordable services to its customers. The reason for the price hike, he said, was the ever increasing food and energy costs that have skyrocketed in the recent past.
