Qatar Sending 10,000 Container Homes To Turkey & Syria

Qatar has dispatched world cup home containers to earthquake victims of Turkey and Syria. The container homes were designed for last year’s world cup fans. According to the foreign office statement, the containers will be sent as part of current ongoing relief efforts in the country.

$200/Night

The tourists who visited Qatar to enjoy the 2022 FIFA World Cup used to pay $200 per night. The palace known as “Fan Village” was the most affordable option for foreigners. The village was sort of a collective community of containers that had the capacity to  accommodate thousands of traveling fans in just weeks.  Each container can accommodate up-to 4 people, as thousands are left without homes in Turkey and Syria.

Death Toll To Increase

The death toll from massive earthquakes is likely to increase to 55,000, according to UN relief chief Martin Griffiths. The death toll reached 24,000 in Turkey and Syria reported 3,500 deaths in just 6 days.
