The tech giant is set to announce its own OpenAI chatbot called Bard. Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai made an announcement in his blog that mentioned that the new service is only tested in specific testing groups and will be available once the testing is done.
Conversational AI Service
Bard is similar to ChatGPT where people can enter questions in the box and get answers. It is a conversational AI service powered by LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications). Google parent Alphabet stated that the Bard AI system is driven by a light version of LaMDA that needs much less computational resources. “Bard seeks to combine the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the power, intelligence, and creativity,” Sundar Pichai wrote.
Bard Is One Step Ahead
One thing that makes it more unique is its ability to answer queries related to current events. ChatGPT doesn’t have this feature and its knowledge is still limited to 2021 data. Google has also planned to release other 20+ AI products and features in 2023.
