The UK Prime Minister was fined by police by not wearing the seatbelt in a video he posted on Instagram. After the video went viral, the police tweeted that they will be taking action against the PM for not wearing the seatbelt in the backseat of his car.
Police Takes Action
After the video went viral on social media, the police twitter handle tweeted that they are looking into the video footage that shows the Prime Minister not wearing the seatbelt. Rishi Sunak posted a video on Instagram where he can be seen talking about his government’s latest round of levelling up funds.
PM Sunak Apologizes
In response, A spokesman for Downing Street fully accepted the responsibility and apologized for violating the law. Passengers caught not wearing the seatbelt can be fined £100 and can be increased to £500 if the issue goes to court.
