Male pattern hair loss is the gradual loss and thinning of hair. The issue has become a global health problem, the research mentions. Although the study was conducted in mainland China, most of the data was acquired from the US participants. The study mentioned that male pattern hair loss has increased from 21.3% in 2010 to 27.5% in 2021 and is primarily caused by numerous reasons including the western diet which is high in sugar and processed food.
The Young Population
The habit of drinking Sugar-sweetened beverages is more prevalent in the younger generation from 13-29 years old, according to the study. The Chinese research mentions the word “Sugar-sweetened beverages”, which include any liquids that have been sweetened with various types of added sugar.
