He took five pills every weekend for the first two years, according to the study by Dr. Kouimtsidis. It increased to an average of three and a half pills per day for the following three years, and then to an average of 25 tablets per day for the following four years. Mr. A had to face severe memory difficulties, panic attacks, depression, functional hallucinations and muscle rigidity problems even after quitting it.
