Attack on Poland Risks War Between NATO And Russia

Two civilians were killed in a missile strike on Tuesday in the Polish town of Przewodow, near the Ukrainian border, according to a source by the Washington Post, which did not make any statements on whether the attack originated from Russia.
Poland is a member of NATO and President Biden made clear in recent months that the US will defend every inch of NATO territory.

The attack on Poland can be classified as an attack on NATO territory and thus trigger Article 5, which states that “an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all” and trigger a military response.

The event could mark a dangerous escalation in the Ukraine war.
