Musk, after successfully taking over Twitter for $44 billion is now cutting the 7,500 staff workforce as part of his restructuring.
The cuts come only four days ahead of critical US midterm elections, a time when misinformation on Twitter is a serious threat. Teams at Twitter responsible for misinformation are affected by the cuts, some of whom were expected to monitor Twitter during the elections, reports the Washington Post.
Other measures by US Billionaire Elon Musk include calling remote workers back into the office and getting rid of days designated for rest.
