Holocaust Survivor Who Fled Nazis, Dies At 93

Hannah Goslar, who fled the Nazi persecution in childhood died at the age of 93. She was held in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in the second world war. Her family left Nazi Germany and settled in Amsterdam in 1933.

 Anne Frank’s Best Friend

Hannah Goslar was the best friend of a young diarist of the Second world war, Anne Frank, who died in the same concentration camp. Hannah met Anne when they were young and when Hannah had fled Nazi prosecution. Both the girls lost contact when Anne’s family went into hiding from the persecution of Jews by Nazis in 1942. She met Anne just days before she died in 1945 when Anne was only 15 years old. 

Friendship And The Holocaust

Hannah and her sister, Gabi were the only members of the family who survived the holocaust. Hanna later in her life migrated to Jerusalem where she married her husband, Walter Pick. Hannah was the living memory of friendship where she and her friend were the victims of Nazi persecution.
