eBay Removes Queen’s Funeral Memorabilia

Online auction site eBay has removed the listing of “Wristbands” for sale which were given to visitors who wanted to pay their last respect to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Some of the wristbands were offered for £70,000 before they were removed.

The Queen’s lying-in-state at the Palace of Westminster opened to the public at 5pm on Wednesday and within hours, several wristbands were listed for sale on sites like eBay & Facebook marketplace.

An eBay spokesperson said: “These items are against our policies and we are removing them from our site.” Its event ticket policy prohibits the sale of most tickets, including those for events that are free to the public.
