Fire Broke Out At Skyscraper In Chinese Central City

Chinese state media reported that a fire has broken out, in the afternoon, in the capital of Hunan province, China’s Changsha city. Video of the incident was shared on social media and so far, the number of people dead or injured is still unconfirmed.

The skyscraper was housed by an office of a state-owned telecommunications company, China Telecom building, second Communications Tower, China Telecom said in a statement. Fire destroyed more than a dozen stories within a few hours. The building was completed in 2000 and was around 218-meter (715-foot) high.  “By around 4:30 pm today, the fire at our No. 2 Communications Tower in Changsha has been extinguished. No casualties have yet been discovered,” The China Telecom said.
