As the main nominated artist for the 2022 CMT Music Awards, which honor the best in country music videos, Kane Brown has been nominated as the lead artist.
According to CMT, Brown has been nominated for four fan-voted awards at the fan-voted awards show, which is aired live on CBS April 11 from Nashville. He’s nominated for video of the year as well as male video, both for “One Mississippi.”
Athlete Anthony Mackie will co-host with singer Kelsea Ballerini this year. Ballerini is a nominee for three awards, including video of the year. She has previously hosted the show with singer Chris Brown last year.
Cody Johnson is a triple nominee, as is Breland, who was nominated for the video of the year and collaborative video of the year. Carrie Underwood, who won a record 23 CMT awards, has been nominated for video of the year and collaborative video of the year for “If I Didn’t Love You.”
As well as Guyton, Johnson, Taylor Swift with Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Kacey Musgraves, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Miranda Lambert, and Cole Swindell and Laney Wilson and all encompassing nominees for video of the year are included.
CMT fan voting begins Thursday and continues to April 11. The awards will also be livestreamed and aired on Paramount+.
