NYC Police Officer Killed, 2nd Critical In Harlem Shooting

According to Baltimore police, a rash of violent incidents early Sunday morning left one man dead and two others seriously injured.

A Baltimore police department news release says a man suffered “massive trauma” during an assault and was admitted to a hospital just before 6 a.m. on Sunday. A short time later, the man passed away.

According to police, the crime scene is located in the 2000 block of East North Ave. in the city’s South Clifton Park neighborhood. Police are investigating the death of the man as a homicide because doctors are still trying to determine how he sustained his injuries.

The two nonfatal shootings, including the drive-by attack, happened earlier in Sunday morning, police said.

Around 1:50 a.m., police responded to the 1800 block of McHenry Street in the Carrollton Ridge area after receiving a call about a shooting. On arrival, they found a 45-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. After being taken to the hospital, his status was listed as stable but serious.

Immediately following that, the police responded to the 100 block of N. Fremont Ave. in Poppleton for a shooting. A victim who suffered gunshot wounds was taken to the hospital, and he is listed in critical condition. A sedan pulled up next to the man, and one of the male occupants shot him. Police believe the man had been walking down the street.

Metro Crime Stoppers is also requesting that anyone with information about these incidents contact them, or make an anonymous call to 1-866-7LOCKUP.
