On Tuesday, a knife-wielding stranger slashed a mother walking with her two children along a Brooklyn street, police said.
In Sunset Park, the 41-year-old victim was walking along 45th St. and Eighth Ave with her children in tow when the attacker fled from her about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Her stomach was slashed before he ran off toward Seventh Ave.
She was treated and released from NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn after being transported there by medical personnel. No harm was done to her children.
The suspect was caught on video jumping a turnstile at a subway station where investigators tracked his movements.
On Tuesday, In the hope that someone would recognize the suspect, police released surveillance images of him from the station.
