Following an executive order by President Joe Biden, the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Saturday released the first of the investigation documents of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and suspects that the Saudi government support for the hijackers.
The newly declassified document, dated 2016, recounts the FBI’s investigation into the alleged logistic support provided to at least two hijackers by Saudi consulate officials and a suspected Saudi intelligence agent in Los Angeles on September 11, 2001.
The Saudi government has denied any involvement in the attack, but this has long been a subject of dispute in Washington.
