According to authorities, a shooter went on a shooting spree in the northwest suburbs of Phoenix on Thursday, shooting four people resulting in one dead.
Shrapnel and debris injured nine more individuals, according to Peoria Police Department Sgt. Brandon Sheffert at a press conference.
The shooting occurs in Glendale, Peoria, and Surprise, three communities immediately northwest of Phoenix in the West Valley. The gunfire lasted for over an hour, according to Sheffert.
According to the sergeant, the suspect’s car was noticed by a fireman. According to authorities, the man did not resist arrest and a firearm was discovered in his vehicle.
Officials have stated that they do not believe there was more than one shooter.
The FBI is assisting in the investigation.
According to Banner Health authorities, nine people have been admitted to three of its facilities. Two patients were at Banner Boswell, three at Banner Thunderbird, and four at Banner Del Webb. It is uncertain if the victims suffered from gunshot wounds or other ailments. Banner Health officials claimed they couldn’t offer any further information on the patients because of privacy restrictions.
