Myanmar Deadly Protest Continues

As the protest in Myanmar continues, the death toll keeps rising. On Saturday, Myanmar’s security forces shot and killed at least 64 people across various cities where people were protesting.

It is one of the bloodiest days since protests against the February 1 military coup started more than a month ago.

During the demonstrations and killings, the military observed Armed Forces Day, and junta chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said that “the army wants to link hands with the whole nation to preserve democracy,” but that “aggressive actions that threaten peace and defense in order to make demands are unacceptable.”
