Let’s Make Daylight Saving Time Permanent

Everyone has dreaded the spring daylight saving time. In the spring, people in the US must set their clocks one hour ahead. This is done to increase the amount of time people spend outside during the day.

But congress has different plans. They want to make daylight saving time permanent.

8 senators introduced a new bill called “Sunshine Protection Act of 2021,” that would make daylight saving permanent and in November when clocks need you be changed again, you wouldn’t need to do that.

From 1942 to 1945, and 1974 to 1975, there was no daylight saving time in the US.

It’s unclear yet whether the Senate will take up the latest legislation.
