On Monday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced new guidelines for COVID-19 stating that fully vaccinated people can gather indoors without masks.
As more and more people get vaccinated, they are looking to travel, visit family members, and resume back to life before the pandemic. The guidance is designed to address these growing demands.
CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said “With more and more people vaccinated each day, we are starting to turn a corner.”
Walensky also said that this is the “first step” toward restoring normalcy.
