Nine Dead As Turkey Hit by Second School Shooting In 48 Hours

Nine killed in second Turkish school shooting in two days.

What should have been an ordinary school day turned into a nightmare in southern Turkey.

But how does something like this even happen?

At least eight students and a teacher were killed when a gunman opened fire inside Ayser Calik Secondary School in the Kahramanmaras region.

More than a dozen others were injured, many critically. Outside, chaos unfolded.

Inside, panic. Students were seen jumping from windows just to escape.

Officials say the attacker, believed to be a teenager, entered classrooms armed with multiple weapons.

But the bigger question remains: why? Authorities admit the motive is still unclear, though an investigation is underway.

The suspect’s father, reportedly a former police officer linked to the weapons, has been detained.

School Violence Surge

And here’s what makes it even more unsettling — this wasn’t an isolated incident.

Just a day earlier, another school shooting in the region left 16 injured.

Coincidence? Or something deeper brewing beneath the surface?

People were seen escaping through the school’s windows.

Eyewitnesses described the scene in chilling terms.

“The sound of gunfire was very intense,” one reporter said, capturing the fear that gripped the area.

Parents, meanwhile, gathered outside in tears, waiting for news no parent should ever have to hear.

So where does this leave us? Perhaps with an uncomfortable truth: when schools — meant to be places of safety — become scenes of violence, the real crisis goes far beyond a single attack.
