Three Men Survive Typhoon By Treading Water 100km Off Vietnam

Three Men Tread Water For 100Km in Typhoon Off Vietnam and Survive.

How do you survive 40 hours adrift in the middle of a stormy sea?

Three men off Vietnam’s central coast can answer that question firsthand.

Swept away by Typhoon Kalmaegi, which has already claimed at least five lives in Vietnam and over 200 in the Philippines.

They were rescued over several tense hours on Saturday.

The men had been carried far from shore after a daring — but ill-fated — attempt to save one of them.

Duong Quang Cuong, 44, had jumped into the water following a family dispute.

Friends Le Quang Sanh and Pham Duy Quang rowed out to help, but their tiny boat overturned, separating all three.

Miraculous Sea Rescue

Phan Hau, whose vessel ultimately pulled one survivor to safety, described the moment as “completely stunned — it felt miraculous.

None of us thought he could still be alive. Most of the 10 of us on board were searching for his body, not that he’d still be breathing.”

The successful rescue involved three ships scouring the turbulent waters — a testament to skill, perseverance, and a bit of luck.

In the end, it’s a story that makes you pause.

When nature rages and hope seems lost, human courage and teamwork can still pull miracles from the waves.

Would you have imagined anyone surviving such a harrowing ordeal? These three did — against all odds.
