Germany On High Alert After ‘Military’ Drones Spotted

Germany on alert after sighting of multiple ‘military’ drones.

Germany’s skies are suddenly feeling a lot less friendly.

Over the past two days, drones have been spotted buzzing over airports and military sites across the country.

They are raising alarms and grounding flights.

This happened just as millions celebrated German Unity Day and packed into Munich for Oktoberfest.

At Munich Airport, chaos unfolded when not one but two drone sightings forced both runways to shut down.

Flights were cancelled, passengers stranded, and questions mounted.

Who’s Behind This?

Could Russia — already accused of testing Europe’s defenses — be involved? Moscow, of course, denies it.

Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt called the incidents a “wake-up call.”

He warned that “the race between the threat from drones and the defense against them is becoming more and more difficult.”

He urged Europe to step up funding and research.

Aerospace industry leaders agree — saying Germany must develop an anti-drone system “as quickly as possible.”

According to a leaked police report cited by Bild, some drones “were used militarily.”

One even flew near Frankfurt Airport, another over a military ammunition depot.

Authorities have detained a Croatian man linked to one incident, but the mystery deepens.

As Dobrindt put it bluntly: “We are in an arms race.”

The skies, it seems, have become the newest front line — and Germany’s learning that drone wars don’t always happen far from home.
