Fake Nurse Who Treated Hundreds in Canada Sentenced to Seven Years

Brigitte Cleroux, a Canadian woman with a history of impersonation, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for posing as a nurse.

The woman was sentenced for treating hundreds of patients in British Columbia with forged documents.

Cleroux, in her 50s, admitted to assaulting patients with IV injections while working under false credentials.

Cleroux Has A History of Faking Qualifications

This isn’t her first time faking medical qualifications.

Over the last decade, Cleroux has used multiple aliases to secure jobs across Canada and the US.

In one instance, she worked at BC Women’s Hospital for a year, caring for patients undergoing gynecological procedures before being exposed.

Her dangerous deception led to a class-action lawsuit against the hospital.

Cleroux’s fraudulent nursing career dates back to at least 2011,  Ottawa, and even a fertility clinic where her lack of expertise raised suspicions.

Her methods caught up with her after a colleague reported her to nursing authorities.
