Joe Biden in Hot Water After Calling Trump’s Followers Garbage

US President Joe Biden is in hot water after he allegedly called Donald Trump’s supporters “garbage”.

Although he rushed to clarify that he didn’t mean to say what he said, the damage was already done.

President Biden was actually reacting to a comedian’s remarks at Donald Trump’s rally where he referred to Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage”.

What Joe Biden Actually Said?

In an online Zoom call, the President was  reacting to the recent rally organized by the Trump campaign that saw thousands of Republicans and some pretty bad rhetoric.

In response to a “floating island” comment made by a comedian at Trump’s rally, Biden said, “the only garbage I see floating out there is his (Trump’s) supporters.”

The comments drew widespread condemnation from the Republican party and Trump’s supporters.

Biden’s comments came after Kamala Harris’ successful rally near the White House at the site of January 6 riots, but Biden’s comments overshadowed the show.
