Newly Released Book Reveals Trump’s Close Relationship With Putin

A newly released book has become a source of contention in the US ahead of November elections.

The book – titled War – written by journalist Bob Woodward revealed that the former President Donald Trump maintained close ties with the Russian President Vladamir Putin.

Citing unnamed Trump’s aide, Mr. Woodward claimed that Trump secretly sent Covid kits to the Russian leader and held calls with him even after leaving office.

Trump Called Putin Seven Times

Trump, who has openly called Putin a genius in his rallies, remained in contact with Putin even after leaving office in 2021, the book claimed.

Although not confirmed by other journalists, Mr. Woodward claimed that Trump talked to the Russian President at least seven times after Joe Biden took charge.

The book is yet to be published but the copy of it has been obtained by The New York Times, which first broke the story.

The close aide mentioned by the author was not named in the book either, Times reported.
