The Federal investigators said the packages contained unknown substances, US media reported.
The packages were sent across a wide geographic area, from New York to Alaska, as threats increased against US officials in the country.

FBI Officials in several states reported that the substances, like flour in Oklahoma, did not pose a direct threat.
The packages were meant to send a message but the investigation has not yet reached a definite conclusion.

The incident comes after another assassination attempt on the life of the former President Donald Trump.
The suspect who was spotted outside Trump’s Florida golf club was later arrested but the motives still remain a mystery.
