Activists Shocked After Russian Spy Whale’s Cause of Death Revealed

An alleged Russian spy whale was not killed by humans, a new forensic investigation revealed.

Norwegian police dismissed the claims of animal rights groups that claimed that the whale was killed by humans as multiple gunshots were spotted on his body.

The police instead said the whale named Hvaldimir died after a 14 inch stick was stuck in his mouth.

Whale Died Due To A Stick

Animal rights groups, including NOAH and OneWhale, initially suspected foul play, with claims that Hvaldimir had been shot.

However, a forensic investigation revealed no evidence of gunshot wounds or human interference.

Instead, the whale’s death was caused by a 14 inches stick, 3 cm in width, which got stuck in his mouth.

Whale Was Alleged To Have Russian Links

Hvaldimir first made headlines in 2019 when he appeared near Norwegian boats with a camera harness labeled “Equipment of St. Petersburg”.

The whale fueled speculations that the mammal was spying for the Russian navy at the time.
