The US has made it pretty clear that the nation will surely fight Iran if it attacks Israel.
The President himself and the defense secretary and state department spokespersons have repeatedly claimed that the US will come to defend Israel without explaining how.

It is not the first time Iran will be acting in response to Israeli aggression as it did fire hundreds of rockets at Israel in April.
Experts believe the regime may use its proxies in Iraq, Yemen and Lebanon to attack Israel.
