British Army Chief Says UK Must Be Ready To Fight War in Three Years

The British Army chief has warned about the impending security challenges for the United Kingdom in the coming years, according to the BBC.

Gen Sir Roland Walker warned that a catastrophic war could come to the shores of the UK within three years as threats posed by China, Russia, Iran and North Korea continue to escalate.

An Axis of Upheaval

Gen Walker said Europe was facing, what he called, “an axis of upheaval”, while referring to a range of threats.

The axis referred to a loose alliance of anti-west countries i.e. Iran, Russia, China and the North who were bent on destroying the world order.

He told reporters that the British forces must double up its lethality to survive this geopolitical mess where the country’ security is at stake.

Walker cited US assessments that China’s president, Xi Jinping, is thinking of invading Taiwan in 2027 and had asked the military to get ready.
