A brave security guard of a shopping mall saved a mother and a daughter who were swept away by powerful winds in the Chinese city of Dezhou.
The powerful storm which knocked down vehicles and advertisement signboards on Sunday, June 30, 2024, according to local Chinese media.
The mother and the daughter were caught by the extremely strong winds and blown away several feet in the air.
Security Guard Awarded
Wang Chuanfeng, a 59-year-old security guard at a nearby mall rushed to help and rescued the two individuals.
In recognition of his bravery, the shopping mall management awarded Wang a 500 Chinese yuan reward and an honorary certificate.
Footage of the incident shows Wang rushing towards the pair and safely bringing them back inside the mall.
The local media didn’t interview Wang about his experience but people did acknowledge what he did was remarkable.
