The former President Donald Trump has been found guilty on all 34 felony charges for influencing the 2016 general elections.
Trump became the only former US president in the country’s history to be convicted of criminal charges.
As per media reports, Trump’s sentencing will take place on 11th of July, a few days before the GOP are set to pick Trump as the presidential nominee.
Will Trump Run For Elections?
As the verdict came in the middle of heated electoral campaigns, the key question to ask is whether or not Trump will run for the presidency.
The reports suggest that the US constitution doesn’t bar Trump from running for the presidency as he meets all the requirements.
Trump still enjoys lifetime Secret Service protection and will continue to do so in the future.
Far right leaders of Hungry, Russia and Italy called the verdict as a tool to eliminate political rivals.
Russia called the verdict “de-facto elimination of political rivals” and the Hungarian Prime Minister urged Trump to “keep on fighting”.
