On Monday afternoon, a gunman opened fire in a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, killing 10 people. A white male suspect was wounded and taken into custody outside the King Soopers convenience store by police.
So far there is no further details on what caused or motivated the shooting. Police have not released the names of any victims other than one, a 51-year-old police officer Eric Talley who was also shot dead.
No detail of the suspect in custody has been released.
One witness, Steven McHugh, commented on the shooting. Stating “It’s not OK that we don’t have better gun control laws. Let me just say that. It’s not. You know, when it’s your family … This has got to stop. Every week, every week in the United States, is a shooting. Now it’s our turn. And that should never be repeated anywhere.”
