For the past 4 years, we have heard about the migrant crisis at the southern border of the US. We have seen the horrific pictures of children separated from their parents and forced to live in cages. It seems like a story that will not go away.
The Department of Homeland Security is deploying Federal Emergency Management Agency or FEMA help with surge of people crossing the border.
Even though with the new administration, we were suppose to see this problem being fixed, a resolutions has not happened yet.
House Of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said “This is a humanitarian challenge to all of us. What the administration has inherited is a broken system at the border, and they are working to correct that in the children’s interest.”
West Virginia Senator Shelly Moore-Capito has cited that the surge of migrants affects the flow of drugs across the U.S. border.
