The World Health Organization is urging European countries to continue to use the AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine. This comes after several countries stopped administering the vaccine to their citizens after report of the vaccine causing blood clots.
The WHO’s regional director for Europe Hans Kluge said “The benefits of the AstraZeneca vaccine far outweigh its risks and its use should continue, to save lives.”
Kluge also mentioned that it is normal to see side effects like this during a vaccine push like we are seeing now. But also stated that something like these blood clots cannot be solely linked to the vaccine itself.
Kluge along with the WHO is urging people and countries to continue administering the AstraZeneca vaccine.
